Baluchistan Cultural Preservation and Revitalization Project - "Yes to Violin, No to Violence" & Active Communities in Karachi Youth Initiative

This project aims to preserve and revitalize the national musical instrument of Baluchistan - Saroz (Traditional Violin) - by adopting a multi-pronged approach comprising of training a 70-member cadre of young people in playing the instrument, followed by holding of an event for showcasing the best performers in Islamabad. This project is made possible with support from the American people delivered through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The contents are the responsibility of CYAAD and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of USAID or the U.S. Government.

The partnership for KYI aimed to impart skills in youth for creating dialogues; developing positive social networks and take concrete actions to learn / develop values and beliefs that undermine the attraction of extremism.
